I suspect that you've compiled this list to help track down the particularly incesant beeping which I experienced as your house guest a few weeks back. We couldn't find it. Your wife couldn't either. It drove us mildly mad for a few minutes, then we assigned the noise arbitrarily to the washer, or maybe the dryer, and let it go at that. 29 items. Damn. I'll take a count at my own house and see what I come up with. Meanwhile, I hope you are well, had a stupendous birthday, survived St. Louis (did you ever find decent food there?) and above all that - thank you again ever so much for the hospitality and enjoyable time we had in NYC with you.

No fax machine or low battery indicators on fire alarm, "toys" or digital watches you don't wear anymore, etc.?
